  • Founded in 2006, Adrenaline Alley is an internationally recognised destination for BMX, scooter, skateboard and mountain bike riders, with some of the facilities users progressing to compete at an Olympic level.

  • The unheated spectator lounge was a cold space for parents and carers supporting their children.

  • Vaillant proudly donated an aroTHERM plus air source heat pump to support the charity. Providing a low carbon, heating solution to keep their spectators warm throughout the year.

    System Specification

Many spectators visit the site regularly, watching their children and friends using the facilities available. Adrenaline Alley required a solution to heat a newly-refurbished spectator lounge that was not only environmentally friendly, but also cost-effective for the charity to use throughout the year.

    The Outcome

A Vaillant 7kW aroTHERM plus air source heat pump has been installed outside of the building, at the closest point to the spectator lounge. While a sensoCOMFORT control has been fitted within the spectator lounge to manage the heating delivered to the building and to set time schedules during opening hours, maximising on energy use.

Showcasing that heat pump technology can be used in commercial premises, this installation not only brings warmth to the spectator lounge but delivers a low carbon, cost-effective solution for the charity to use and depend on for years to come.

Adrian Brown, Managing Director of Plumb-line, “I’ve worked with Vaillant for many years, so I was only too happy to help with this charity install when I was asked. As the spectator lounge is situated in the middle of the skatepark, we were limited on outdoor space to install the heat pump. However, once we’d found a suitable outdoor site, the rest of the installation was straightforward, and I’m delighted to have played a part in heating the spectator lounge for years to come.”

    Why Vaillant?

Mandy Young, CEO and Founder of Adrenaline Alley, said: “Families and riders come from all over to use the park as our reputation has grown as a prime destination for action sports. Now, thanks to Vaillant’s Growing Communities initiative, we have been able to build a comfortable and warm spectator hub. The use of low carbon heat pump technology also supports our ambition to build a sustainable future for the park.”
