In 1874, Johann Vaillant founded his company in Remscheid, Germany. 150 years later, Vaillant is represented in more than 60 countries worldwide, providing heating and hot water comfort to millions of people.

Vaillant’s most innovative heat pump product, the aroTHERM plus air source heat pump, is launched to the market. The low carbon heating solution is increasing in popularity as more homeowners are looking to make more sustainable choices.

Green iQ
Vaillant launch the ecoTEC exclusive with Green iQ technology, to deliver the highest performing and most efficient boiler on the market.

Remote heating
Vaillant sets the standard for remote monitoring and heating control with their on-line communication system vrnetDialog. For the first time it is possible to monitor and adjust a heating system from afar.
2001
Vaillant opens in the UK
Vaillant Group opened it's UK sales and production site in Belper, Derbyshire as part of the company's transformation into an international enterprise.
1995
The first condensing appliance
Vaillant launches it's first condensing appliance, the Thermoblock ecoTEC. Condensing technology is more energy efficient with less emissions than conventional heating technology.
1978
First wall hung boiler with a fan
Vaillant offers the first room-air independent wall-hung boiler with a fan.The room where the boiler is hanging no longer requires continuous positive ventilation and the oxygen required for combustion is drawn in from outside.
1967
The first combi boiler
Vaillant's 'Combi-Geyser VCW 20' combines heating and hot water supply in a single unit - the first of its kind. An innovation which the sector continues to use today.
1924
Introduction of central heating
Vaillant develops a central heating boiler that allows heating in every room in a house from a central location through room radiators.
1899
The first Vaillant Hare!
Johann Vaillant adopts the 'Easter bunny in an egg' as the trademark for Vaillant. This makes him one of the leaders of branded products in the German consumer goods industry.
1874
The beginning
Founder, Johann Vaillant sets up his first workshop for installation projects at just 23 years old. A newspaper in Remscheid that he has 'established himself as a coppersmith and pump manufacturer'.
