Helping homeowners make informed heating choices
Changing a heating system is a significant household decision. Cost, installation work and day-to-day performance all matter. Vaillant Group UK’s role is to help homeowners understand the options available, from modern boilers to heat pumps, so they can consider heating solutions that suit their home and how they use it.
As the UK moves towards lower-carbon heating, we are also reducing emissions from our own operations. Achieved performance includes our Belper site operating on 100% renewable electricity from its supplier and an approximately 7% reduction in combined direct operational emissions against our 2019 starting point. In 2025, 30% of the company car fleet was fully electric, compared with 97% petrol or diesel vehicles in 2020.
These results are separate from our 2030 targets. Under SEEDS 2030, our targets are to reduce emissions from our own operations by 50% and emissions linked to product use by 55%.
We recognise that heating choices depend on each home. A heat pump or other lower-carbon option will not automatically reduce bills or suit every property without consideration of the building, system design, usage habits and settings. Product-use emissions remain the largest part of our footprint and increased between 2024 and 2025, so our focus is on providing products and information that support practical, informed decisions.
