Smart Home Ready refers to devices that are interconnected through the internet in a home setup. They can be controlled via mobile apps and smart home speakers, and can include temperature, lighting and security. Vaillant offer various thermostats which can be integrated into a home setup. For example, Vaillant’s sensoCOMFORT installed with the myVAILLANT connect internet gateway allows the heating system to be controlled via the myVAILLANT app. myVAILLANT app is also compatible with Amazon Alexa Custom Skills which allows you to set up routines with your heating system and include other smart home devices.

The new IoniDetect Ionisation technology constantly monitors the quality of the gas entering the system. This helps the ecoTEC plus achieve even greater efficiencies, lower gas consumption and less wear and tear.

Vaillant’s heating appliances use eBUS protocol. By pairing your Vaillant heating appliance with a Vaillant control or thermostat, it allows the whole system to communicate with the eBUS protocol.

Vaillant’s whole systems can benefit from weather compensation which takes into consideration the outdoor temperature using either an outdoor sensor, or internet weather data. It then adjusts the heat going to the radiators or underfloor heating systems for optimum efficiency.

Vaillant’s whole systems have the feature of enhanced load compensation. This automatically adjusts the temperature of the water leaving the boiler and entering the heating system and working with a room thermostat it determines the amount of energy needed to reach the desired temperature. As a result of load and weather compensation, the boiler will work at a reduced output to use the minimum amount of energy needed.

An internet gateway allows you to connect your ecoTEC plus to the internet via your router. This enables you to control and monitor your heating appliance via a dedicated mobile app. Vaillant’s new internet gateway, myVAILLANT connect, utilises the myVAILLANT app.
