What is the Boiler upgrade Scheme?

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant offers property owners money off installing low-carbon heating technologies to help decarbonise people’s homes across England and Wales.

    Upgrading from a gas boiler to a heat pump? Where eligible, your installer will apply for the BUS grant on your behalf

  • Get up to £7,500

    You can claim up to £7,500 through the Boiler upgrade scheme if upgrading to an air, ground or water source heat pump from a traditional gas boiler

  • 0% VAT

    Pay 0% VAT on installing energy-saving materials including heat pumps. The 0% VAT will run until March 2027

  • Heat pump tariffs

    Take advantage of heat pump energy tariffs, saving your energy on your heat pump running costs
