System Boilers from Vaillant

Choose the right system boiler for your home

System boilers, also known as sealed system boilers, are the perfect solution for larger family homes where you might have many people using multiple sources of hot water at the same time. System boilers store a large reservoir of hot water, at temperature, in a hot water cylinder so you have a constant supply of hot water around the clock.

With a system boiler everything you need for your heating and hot water systems is built into this compact yet powerful and highly efficient package. In addition to this, most of our boilers are Quiet Mark accredited meaning that those peaceful nights will never be interrupted by the sound of a Vaillant boiler.

How does a system boiler work?

Unlike combi boilers, system boilers are not connected to the cold mains. A coil in the cylinder carries the central heating water at high temperature through the cylinder, heating it's contents.

The hot water cylinder stores a large reservoir of hot water at all times so a steady supply of hot water can be delivered across your home, even when multiple taps and showers are in use.

What are the benefits of a system boiler?

System boilers are a popular choice for larger households in the UK due to their compact yet powerful nature, economical running costs, and efficient delivery of heating and hot water.

Whilst we’ve designed all of our boilers to be as sleek and aesthetically pleasing as possible, products such as our ecoFIT pure system have been created to have a small footprint without compromising on performance or power. The ecoFIT pure is so compact that it will fit inside a standard cupboard; perfect for homeowners who don’t want their boilers to be seen or heard.

Unlike conventional boilers, a system boiler doesn’t require a cold water storage tank, so it needs considerably less space to be installed. They do, however, require a hot water cylinder. The hot water cylinder means that you’ll have access to a constant stream of hot water, even when multiple people are using it. This comes as music to the ears of those who live in a household with multiple bathrooms and don’t enjoy their showers being cut short due to lack of supply. Finally, our range of system boilers are incredibly efficient to run; contributing towards lower energy consumption and lower bills.

How much does a system boiler cost?

System boilers can cost between £500 and £2000 for the boiler itself.

Keep in mind that installation will be on top of this, along with any further materials required such as pipework and your hot water cylinder. We recommend gathering three quotes during your research. This provides you with enough information to make an informed decision, but not so much that you become overwhelmed.
