What is a combi boiler?
A combination, or ‘combi’ boiler does two things; heats water and provides central heating for your home in one compact unit.
How does a combi boiler work?
To heat hot water a combi boiler works by taking water directly from the mains, igniting the gas burner and heat exchanger, and transfers this energy to the water to heat it up within seconds.
To heat your home, a combi boiler uses control valves to allow water to flow through your central heating system at your desired temperature. When hot water is required, the control valves will divert the hot water to your hot water tap as needed.
