This app can be accessed right now with a myVAILLANT connect internet gateway or once a customer has been invited to migrate from the sensoAPP or VRC 700 app.

  • Why has the name of the app changed?

    The myVAILLANT app is not an improved version of the sensoAPP, but is a newly developed app with more features. myVAILLANT is constantly evolving and learning based on your needs and the latest technological developments.

  • What are the differences between sensoAPP and myVAILLANT app and why should I do the upgrade?

    The myVAILLANT app makes your use of your Vaillant heating system even easier.

  • Why do I have to create a new account for the myVAILLANT app when I already have a sensoAPP account?

    The myVAILLANT app is running on our latest IoT infrastructure ensuring a fast and reliable operation while fulfilling high standards regarding cyber security. To benefit from these advantages, initially you need to create a new account to connect to this infrastructure.

  • Why is a firmware update of my gateway needed for the new app?

    The gateways are produced with a firmware which is linked to the sensoAPP. After having updated the firmware you are able to use the new app.

  • I just started using sensoAPP. Why do I need to switch to the myVAILLANT app now?

    For a safe and smooth technical upgrade, you need to be first registered as user of sensoAPP with Vaillant, before we can update your gateway firmware. This ensures that your firmware has all relevant updates and your system is ready for myVAILLANT, meaning you benefit from our latest technology upgrades.

  • Cam I still use the sensoAPP after having downloaded the myVAILLANT app?

    After having completed the upgrade to myVAILLANT app, you can only use this app to interact with your Vaillant heating system. The sensoAPP can remain on your smartphone until you have made sure that the upgrade was successful.

  • Is the upgrade voluntary?

    As the sensoAPP will be discontinued, the upgrade is required for being able to continue using connectivity services for your Vaillant heating system.

  • Can I postpone the upgrade?

    Yes you can postpone the upgrade two times. When it comes to the third notification, the upgrade will be performed automatically.

  • Does the installation of the myVAILLANT app have any impact on the settings of my heating system (e.g. desired room temperature, time schedules)?

    Upgrading from sensoAPP to myVAILLANT app does not affect any of the settings of your heating system. This is valid for settings made by your installer and settings made by yourself.

  • Do I still have access to the consumption and yield data displayed in the sensoAPP when using the myVAILLANT app?

    Unfortunately, not yet but the app is continuously evolving, and we are already working on a solution to import data for senso controls. You will benefit with further updates of myVAILLANT and your personal assistant will always be up to date.

  • I do have a remote maintenance contract with my installer. Do I have to inform them that I am using the myVAILLAT app now?

    In case you granted your installer access to your heating system, they are going to receive a system generated notification that you are using the myVAILLANT app now.

  • Does everyone's sensoAPP upgrade to myVAILLANT at the same time?

    The date you receive your myVAILLANT upgrade depends on the configuration of your Vaillant heating system. Therefore, not all sensoAPP customers receive the upgrade at the same time.

  • Several family members are using the sensoAPP on their smart devices while using the same account. Is the notification to upgrade sent all devices?

    In case sensoAPP in-app notifications are enabled the notification will be available on all devices. The upgrade can be started from any device then.

  • I do not get the upgrade notification yet, but I have found the myVAILLANT app in the app store. Can I do the upgrade now?

    Although you can download the myVAILLANT App from the App Store, you cannot use it to control your heating system unless you were notified about the possibility to upgrade. By doing this, we ensure the new myVAILLANT app works perfectly with your heating system.

  • I'm selling my home and I need to reset the myVAILLANT connect

    To reset the myVAILLANT connect, delete your account in the myVAILLANT app by going into settings, Your account and then pressing ‘Delete account now’. Once this has been done, hold the button on the top of the gateway for 10 seconds. The gateway can now be registered by a new user.

  • Can I use ambiSENSE with the myVAILLANT app?

    If you are already using ambiSENSE with the sensoAPP or VRC 700 app, you will be migrated to the myVAILLANT app in the coming months. ambiSENSE is not compatible with the myVAILLANT connect.

*myVAILLANT connect and smart home subscriptions are only compatible with Vaillant heat pump and boiler ranges from 2006 onwards.
To access smart home subscriptions, myVAILLANT connect gateway must be installed and subscription services activated.
