It's as easy as 1,2,3

They'll also be able to ask any additional questions they may have regarding placement or access etc. You can arrange a fitting date to suit you directly with your installer.

What are the costs of buying a new boiler?

Before you buy a new boiler, it's important to have all relevant information and understand what model will meet your needs.

Upgrading your boiler can be a costly investment with the up front cost of the boiler and installation fees. However, there are multiple benefits of modernising and replacing your existing boiler.

  • New boilers are often more energy efficient, meaning that whilst boiler replacement can be costly, it can also result in savings on household energy bills. Paired with a Vaillant heating and control or thermostat, you can potentially make even greater savings on your bills without being wasteful.
  • If you have an old boiler that is non condensing it will probably be classed as a band G boiler, with an energy efficiency of less than 70%. If you replace your existing boiler with a current ErP 'A rated' condensing Vaillant boiler, it will have an energy efficiency of 90%.
  • Savings will depend on your house size and type, and the current levels of energy efficiency your house has. The more insulated your home, the less energy your boiler has to use to maintain the right temperature for you. Find out more about heating tips and how to reduce monthly energy bills.

Register your boiler’s guarantee

Once you’ve had your new boiler installed, you can register your guarantee online. Your Vaillant guarantee covers you for the repair of any defects related to the manufacturer of your Vaillant appliance. The repair will be called out by one of our service engineers and will cover both parts and labour.

If you had your boiler installed by a Vaillant Advance installer, then they can register the boiler's guarantee for you and offer an extended guarantee period. Learn more about guarantees and the terms and conditions here.

Boiler Plus

Boiler Plus is government legislation that aims to improve the way homes across the UK use energy by increasing the efficiency of their heating systems. From April 2018, any new boiler installations must have a time and temperature control fitted and the heating system must meet or exceed an ErP efficiency of 92% during operation.

Read our guide ‘What is Boiler Plus and how will it affect me and my home’ for more information.

Why not consider a heat pump?

If you’re looking to upgrade your heating system, have you considered a heat pump? Taking 75% of the energy from the environment, they can be a cost effective and more sustainable way to heat your home. With the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, you could even get help with some of the cost.
