Under the umbrella of the HSE the UK registration scheme for Gas installers has changed from Corgi to Gas Safe. These changes have not affected Northern Ireland where the registration scheme remains as Corgi. In the UK any domestic gas appliance must be installed by a competent person in accordance with the Gas Safety, installation and use regulations.

In the UK this is considered to be a person approved and registered at the time by the HSE. Information provided by vaillant and other UK manufacturers before these changes to the registration scheme only make reference to Corgi. These reference should now be considered to mean Gas Safe unless in Northern Ireland.
