In a few isolated incidents in Germany, the auroTHERM exclusive VTK 550 and VTK 275 evacuated tube collectors supplied to us by Schott have failed. There have been no such failures of these collectors in the UK, however, because we take our responsibility as a system supplier very seriously, we have:

1. Ceased supply of these Schott collectors permanently. 
2. Gathered details of as many installations as possible by contacting merchants and installers. We are continuing to collect these details.
3. Fully investigated the cause of these failures and agreed a complete solution.

We are now planning to visit every site where Schott collectors supplied by Vaillant are installed and we will start writing to customers in March to arrange these visits. Within two weeks of the site visit, we will then replace all Schott sourced evacuated tube collectors with the new Vaillant auroTHERM exclusive VTK 570, free of charge. This replacement project will take place during April, May and June.
