Going underground
The geoTHERM range of ground source heat pumps is specially designed to operate in larger properties or in cascade installations for higher outputs. The geoTHERM includes a three-way diverter valve providing a simple means of connecting to an external hot water cylinder for the production of domestic hot water. The geoTHERM exclusive includes an array of additional benefits, including domestic hot water all through the year, an integrated 175-litre stainless steel cylinder and a split mounting facility. All geoTHERM products are available in outputs ranging from 6kW to 46kW.

Light fantastic
Vaillant’s auroTHERM exclusive vacuum tube solar collectors have been designed to give maximum energy absorption, and are easy to install in many varied applications. As the collectors work on diffused solar radiation, as well as direct sunlight, they will even generate small amounts of energy on partially cloudy days. Multiple panels can easily be fitted together, as required, for larger systems. The auroTHERM vacuum tube collectors will be on show at Solar City, where a demonstration of a Vaillant solar tube system will take place.

Additionally, Vaillant will also be displaying accompanying solar products to complete its solar DHW range.

Waste not want not
The recoVAIR offers maximum energy efficiency, as the unit is capable of recovering up to 95% of heat from exhaust air. Running costs are kept low, as the unit uses two integral speed-controlled DC fans – one for the supply air and the second for extraction. The airflows are managed so that each passes through the heat exchanger in a ‘counter-flow’ way to transfer heat from the extracted air to the incoming fresh air supply. This brings the temperature of the incoming fresh air close to room temperature, reducing the amount of additional energy needed to heat the property to homeowners’ requirements.

Exclusively hot
Vaillant ecoTEC exclusive domestic boilers maintain high efficiency, even at lower outputs. ecoTEC exclusive boilers feature a new electronically controlled modulating pump for lower electrical energy consumption, which further improves the overall energy performance. A convenient backlit screen features a clear text display which allows easy reading of the boiler's current status. All ecoTEC exclusive boilers have a three-year warranty and offer central heating outputs of 27 and 30kW respectively.

Vaillant will also be presenting a selection of its ecoTEC plus and pro range of high efficiency condensing system boilers at the exhibition.

Tall storey
The auroSTOR is available is three different litre volumes 200, 250 and 300 litres. This twin coil unvented solar cylinder manufactured from stainless steel has a 25 year transferable warranty on the shell. Each cylinder features two sensor pockets for simple straightforward connection of the control sensors; and a 22kW rated coil for a rapid heat up, with heat loss as low as 0.08kW/h.

Commercial success
The new ecoTEC commercial models are all SEDBUK band ‘A’ rated and use fuel more economically, with each boiler equipped with a stainless steel heat exchanger and new hydraulic connections and isolating valves. Available in two power outputs options – 46kW and 65kW, best in class emissions within European standards are achieved with a fully modulating class 5 low NOx burner and fan that automatically matches heat output to demand.

The ecoCRAFT/3 range of commercial, floor standing, high efficiency, condensing gas boilers is available in six power output options ranging from 80- 280kW. The ecoCRAFT range exceeds the requirements of Part L2A and L2B of the Building Regulations and is perfect for inclusion in the specification of both new and replacement installations. The horizontal firing burner and the modular designed heat engine both ensure that power is delivered without compromising running costs.
