The new backlit plain-text VRC 430f Wireless Weather Compensator provides heating and hot water time control. The wireless outside sensor is powered by a small photovoltaic cell, and enables the VRC 430f to communicate with the sensor through radio frequency (RF) technology. Furthermore, the VRC 430f receiver simply plugs into the boiler and, together with the wireless outside sensor, saves significant installation time and effort. The control itself features ‘click and turn’ functionality, making it easy to maintain comfort and efficiency in the home.
To compliment the range, Vaillant has also launched the VRT 392 Programmable Room Control, which features a backlit display to ensure visibility and ease of use at all times. Replacing the VRT 360, the VRC 392 provides both the installer and end user with an enhanced and simple to use interface, while also utilising ‘click and turn’ functionality.
A wireless version of the VRT 392 is also available in the new range. The VRT 392f Wireless Programmable Room Control (which replaces the VRT 360f) features the same easy to use functionalities and backlit display as the VRT 392. It also comes with a receiver that is simply plugged into the boiler, removing the need for any wires between the boiler and the control. The unique wireless receiver simply plugs into the boiler fascia, without the need for any special tools or wiring connections, for a truly easy installation.
Finally, a new solar wiring centre for use together with the VRC 430 or VRC 430f Weather Compensators completes the range. The VR 68 Solar Module enables the VRC 430 or VRC 430f to control the solar hot water system, in addition to providing weather compensated heating and hot water time and temperature management. This advanced control system maximises the solar gain by making sure that the boiler is only used for auxiliary hot water when insufficient solar energy is available. Once connected and installed, the VR 68 requires no special set-up time because it is automatically recognised by the VRC 430 and the VRC 430f.
Commenting on the new controls, Dave Lacey, Commercial Director for Vaillant (UK & Ireland) said: “This range of new wireless controls reinforces our commitment to the total system solution, ensuring that we provide our customers with the whole package to maximise energy efficiency, minimise installation time and ensure comfort all year round.”
All controls in the new range are available either as a separate item or as part of a complete boiler or solar system purchase.
