Stuart Maddock, Vaillant’s Technical Sales Manager for Air Conditioning, comments: “With our climaVAIR products, especially the DVC, being so well accepted by our customers throughout the industry, it was only natural for Vaillant to expand and add to the range. These new products will, of course, come with the same levels of aftersales warranty and pre-sales technical support as you’d expect from a company of our calibre.”
High wall units
Vaillant’s multi-split range will be increased with the addition of larger outdoor units, with cooling outputs from 6 to 10.5kW. Up to four indoor units, ranging from wall, cassette and ducted configurations can be attached.
The current range of high quality R410a high wall split systems has been well received by the market, so will continue largely unchanged. The range includes five on/off models, with cooling capacities ranging from 2.2 to 6kW; four inverter models from 2.7 to 6kW and two twin multi-split systems of 5 and 6kW.
Completing the high wall range will be two “plus” units, with a modern flat front design suitable for designer applications. These units run very quietly, have DC inverter compressors and have cooling capacities of 2.5 and 3.5kW.
Cassette units
Vaillant’s popular current range of on/off cassette units will continue, with the 2006 range of R407c systems being replaced by two R410a inverter cassette units, with cooling capacities of 5 and 7kW.
Floor/ceiling units
Plugging a gap in the 2006 range is the addition of four R410a floor/ceiling split systems, ranging from 5 to 11.5kW. The two smallest units (5 and 6.5kW) will be inverter driven and the larger units (8.5 and 11.5kW) will be on/off configuration. These additions extend the application solutions that Vaillant air conditioning products can cover.
Warranty
Vaillant’s unique, comprehensive warranty is standard on all air conditioning systems. With this package, should a system fail for a non-installation related reason during the warranty period, Vaillant will send a service engineer to make repairs on behalf of the contractor.
Training
Vaillant’s regional training centres in Elland, Slough and Birmingham have now been equipped with systems to allow not only specific product training courses, but also CITB approved safe handling of refrigerant training, allowing customers to ensure that all of their installation crews have current and correct skills for the task. The centres in Rochester and Bristol will be updated later this year.
