Vaillant boilers currently less than two years old are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, providing they have been serviced after the first twelve months. Vaillant already offers a one year warranty for the ecoTEC pro, a three year warranty for the ecoTEC exclusive and two year warranty on all other boilers. Vaillant's new scrappage scheme inspired incentive will add a further year to each of these warranty periods.

Dave Lacey, Commercial Director (UK & Ireland) for Vaillant, said: “Scrappage scheme customers will be able to save up to £285 on their annual heating bills by having a new, high efficiency boiler or renewable equivalent installed. By adding a year’s additional warranty on top of this, consumers can also rest assured in the knowledge that they are backed up by Vaillant’s national aftersales support network all year round.”

Installers will also benefit, as Vaillant is offering double reward points for its loyalty club members when one of its boilers is fitted as part of the scrappage scheme.

The boiler scrappage scheme will provide 125,000 households throughout the UK with £400 towards the cost of upgrading their boiler to a high efficiency, A-rated model or renewable heating technology. This will help to save approximately 140,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide every year.
