The SEDBUK band ‘A’ ecoTEC exclusive has a wide modulation range, meaning that it stays in condensing mode for longer, therefore maintaining high efficiencies at lower outputs. In addition, the exclusive boiler has a new electronically controlled modulating pump for lower electrical energy consumption, which further improves the overall energy performance of the product.
Commenting on the launch, Vaillant’s Commercial Director, Shaun Edwards, said: “The market has already moved on from the high efficiency versus standard efficiency debate: now that high efficiency boilers are a given, both installers and home owners are looking to manufacturers to produce products which offer an improved performance. Vaillant’s new ecoTEC exclusive will enable a greater number of installers to specify a combi in properties where perhaps they may have previously had concerns about the suitability of the boiler for space heating.”
New features and benefits
In addition to the electronically controlled pump, the ecoTEC exclusive boiler includes a new filling loop for ease of installation. Another feature exclusive to the boiler is a new backlit clear text display, enabling installers and consumers to easily view the boiler’s current status. As is appropriate for Vaillant’s flagship appliance, the ecoTEC exclusive has a three-year warranty.
With Vaillant’s ‘AquaComfort’ system and flow rates of 12.9 l/min and 15.2 l/min at 35˚C, the ecoTEC exclusive offers greater hot water comfort, quicker filling of baths and higher performance for showering. The boilers also have a fully modulating low NOx burner, stainless steel heat exchanger, built in 2-stage frost thermostat and can easily be converted to LPG. Both the ecoTEC exclusive 832 and 838 use Vaillant’s simple push fit fluing system available in a range of different lengths for flexibility of siting.
The exclusive has a lift weight of 44kg and case dimensions of 800mm x 480mm x 450mm.
The ecoTEC exclusive 832 and 838 are both fully compatible with all of Vaillant’s range of ‘intelligent’ controls such as the VRC 430 backlit weather compensator, and VRT 360F programmable room thermostat, which allow two-way communication between boiler and central heating, making for a more energy efficient and intelligent system.
