Vaillant and City of Lincoln Council: 1,000 not out

  • Listen to the article

03.08.2009: With energy efficiency and reliability continuing to play ever-important roles, the City of Lincoln Council recently installed its 1,000th Vaillant ecoTEC pro 28 combination boiler as part of its ongoing commitment to the Decent Homes Programme.

Since April 2008, the City Council has fitted Vaillant’s ecoTEC pro boilers across a number of properties, ranging from individual homes, terraced houses, flats and tower blocks. Every boiler was fully specified and linked to TRVs by contractors Aaron Services.

Graeme Twell, Gas Contracts Surveyor at City of Lincoln Council, said: “We opted for Vaillant because of their reputation and reliability, which was our top priority. We wanted one universal product to be installed throughout the whole of the city, offering familiarity to both engineers and tenants alike.

“As there weren’t many large properties involved, the ecoTEC pro boilers were perfect in terms of size and fit. In fact, I’m delighted to say that Vaillant’s boilers have proven to be far more reliable than those previously installed from a different manufacturer.”

The City Council has a portfolio of 8,000 properties and is seeking to complete a renewables scheme as part of the Decent Homes Programme by December 2010.

Vaillant’s ecoTEC pro 28 range of combination boilers features comprehensive status and diagnostic information, complete with simple push button operation for easy commissioning and servicing. The boilers are SEDBUK Band ‘A’ rated and are one of the lightest in their class.
