Dave Lacey appointed to Commercial Director for Vaillant Ltd

  • Listen to the article

16.11.2009: Dave Lacey has been appointed Commercial Director for Vaillant in the UK and Ireland. He is responsible for the continued development of the Vaillant business, including domestic and commercial boilers, renewable technologies, controls and hot water cylinders.

Having started his career initially training as a Gas Service Engineer, Dave then joined Vaillant where he has been for nearly 23 years. During this time, he has held various key roles in the areas of training, logistics, product and commercial management. Dave began within Vaillant by running the Vaillant West London training centre for six years at the start of his career, and in 2009 returned to the training discipline where he established Vaillant’s acclaimed new Training Centre of Excellence in Bristol. He has also worked in product management, working within many launch teams over the years, including the historic TURBOmax ranges and latterly the current ecoTEC products as examples. More recently, he was also Sales Support Director, spearheading the growth of the spares division and developing new warehousing and distribution functions.

Dave commented: “I have enjoyed a long career with Vaillant, during the last 23 years I think I have worked in nearly every area of the business - I guess you could say Vaillant is in my blood! I am now entering the next phase of my Vaillant journey and I am looking forward to the many challenges this new role will bring.”

Dave will be based at the Vaillant offices in Rochester, Kent. He lives in Maidstone with his wife and three sons. His hobbies include watching football and playing, as he states, “very bad golf”.
